When members of the `Comaganin Raaga Priya' orchestra completed 50 hours of non-stop performance here on Sunday, it was much more than an attempt at the Guinness Book of World Records.
For the audience, it was a lesson in enthusiasm, doggedness and the power of indomitable will.
The troupe of visually challenged musicians performed from 1 p.m. on Friday to 7 p.m. on Sunday, surpassing an existing record of a 48-hour performance by a group in Hungary, troupe director M.C. Comagan said. Over 650 film songs were rendered during the fete.
Five-month practice
"We have been practising for about five months now," Mr. Comagan said. The troupe, which was formed in 1991 with nine members, grew in strength to accommodate a total of 25 talented musicians.
Having set a record in India through a 16-hour show in 1999, the group dreamt big and targeted this international record. They won more attention after being featured in director Cheran's `Autograph' in the national award-winning song `Ovvoru pookalumae...' "It is about identifying one's talent within, nurturing it and giving it your best, said Mr. Comagan.
The achievement, however, was no cakewalk for the team. Besides several months' hard work and determination, it demanded an immense stamina. Members did sense some tiredness in their voices but that, by no means, deterred the effort.
And the instrumentalists took hardly any breaks in between.
"I managed to catch about one or two hours of sleep in these 50 hours,'' percussionist V. R. Prasanna Kumar said. He played tabla and mridangam.
An English lecturer at a city college, Mr.Kumar began his training in tabla-playing when he was five.
As people gathered around members of the group to congratulate them on the task accomplished, they responded with their reassuring smiles, bearing no sign of fatigue or lack of sleep.
Actors T. Rajendar, Vadivukkarasi and music director Ganesh (of the Shankar-Ganesh duo) were among those who felicitated the group.

Australians ,South Africans,Srilankans and West indies( to some extent) are proffesionals..the greats like ricky ponting,shaun pollock whom were known for their exceptional skills are changed into proffesionals...they didnt play for their record .they what the team needs...it is good for cricket....it shows team spirit rather than the individual spirits...it ia good for cricket as it will increase the competition..I like australian team for their aggression showed in each match....sunil gavaskar coment will not stop them from producing great cricket

I rate pakistan as team which can beat australia and become an undisputed leader in cricket.. They are also the team which can also loose to a school team..The mafias and the mumbai underworld has made the pakistan cricket to lose to a a small team like Ireland..the bettings and the scandals has tarnished the image of pakistan cricket team.... players were also started loosing their confidence and throwing the matches to small teams..they should start to belive themselves...pakistan team has good talent.....iinspite of climatic conditions in sub continent they are able to produce good qualityfast bowlers.... indian team and srilankan team still dont have a quality fast bowler..vaas is a quality bowler but not the fast bowler...If they tuned and mould well they can prodeuce world class crickters....

i am a human being influenced,worried,happy about so many things.... what is the lif according to me..if u dis lik philosophy or to not know about urself dont read what am goin to write.... what is truth?is that what every body accept or what u accept?according to me nothing is truth.. for eg what are going to think in the next min is not know by any one... so there is a posssibilty of anything..that we can take it as n(S) ie total no of events.... what u think is n(A)..so what u think or what do u understand is real and also what do u not understand and what do u dont know is also real. einstein theory and creative ideas are born due to this i.e that new thing is already there .it is also one of the event but we dont know unless explored by a creative person....who are we..what we are talkin? most of the time we jus speak about ourself jus to tell about all our heroics to others and also talking idiotic things of othersi.e we are marketing ourselves..what s ter in that? our image will grew big..they may think or u compelling and forcing them to think u r great and a pious person.... whats the negative in that one..we lose our control with in ourselves ..our main focus is to tell them not what our focus and even not knowin what other's understand... due to this every problem arises..we have to listen and analyse what others think.. so i mean to say that we should not talk no..we have to talk but that should be a about ourselves and our things which should make us to understand more about the person with whom we are talking......in tamil there is a novel "silanerangalil sila manidargal"by gynapith award winner jayakanthan... the main theme is no one understand no one ..even partially...which is true..we dont understand our parents,frens,brothers and sisters and vice versa..if we every one understand partially there wont be any old age homes,divorce,suicides ......we should talk a lot but that must sharing ur thoughts,problems,happines.... In my ilp when they asked every one to write about their role model i wrote what i belive,how i change after exploration of truth..my life skill madam after reading that told me that u have to enjoy lif as u have age.. but in my view if u are dont know about urself u cannot understand human feelings or subjects...in present world many people think enjoyin is somethin hangout wit friends,dancing to unheard rock band or all the so called bars and pop music...but the enjoyment is how u feel.. eg:after five years u are seeing a freind who is before ten years is ur close and still ur best.. both r seein but are one metre apart..they will hav joy in their body which is the enjoyment... not the so call pubs and cafes.. many people say what i said is for the sages but accordin to me it is not.....wheather you are family men or a bachelor enjoy the pure enjoyment...they also argue thatmaturity and these things are for old people but it is not.. bharathiyar,swami vivekananda .. if u see most of the scholar and holistic people attained maturity in their yong age.... dont think after reading this article i am matured if u think lik that then u are wrong i hav more errors which i am daily rectiftifying it and daily new mistakes and things are arising which is because of my doins ... my quest for happiness is continous process so am rectifyin the new things and intrested to see new mistakes which can happen not by me but by others (if u deeply understand everything what ever things happening to u it is because of u )... indians are gifted as all are our fore fathers lived lik that but it is mis understood and mis led and misteach to us.... they were pious bcos of this only beautiful sculpture ,temple were built...temple is a complex one..i dont beliv in god but if u go to temple some peaceful will stuck in u..... i am leavin and i my writings about my quest for happinesss. will continue........

INDIAN POLITICS--- NO 1 COMPANY IN INDIA
Politics in india has transformed from service to business.It is a field where gandhji,rajaji,subash chandra bose, bhagat singh etc served for the welfare of the people. Now our politicians are miliking money from the public. vaiko a great orator,writer ,founder of mdmk in TN was thrown out of dmk a political party byDr k.karunanidhi CM of TN, put into jail by Dr J.Jayalalitha former CM of TN. He had an alliance with kk and having an alliance wit jj.Sonia Gandhi's congress alliance with pmk ,a party in TN which is supporting LTTE. bjp's plan of reviving hindutva,bringing narendar modi to national politics and protesting against the request of pardon for afzal proving that poltics is a business not a service. communist parties are also doin the same. Communist party in INDIA are champange communist( a communist talks about communism in air conditioned room but not doing things to welfare of the people). Sitaram Yeturi is travelling in foreign car but there are some excveptions like Nallakannu ,president ifCPI(M) in TN.Present scenario in politics reveal that everyone want to stay in this field to maintain are increase their share.
Two weeks before my friend's father was murdered in a political clash in namakkal TN. reason is simple.he was campaining for a party for the forthcoming local body elections in TN.a person is murdered for a local body election than imagine what happened,happening,will happen in national politics. i analysed why he was killed the basic reasons which are 1.power and 2.money. if his party's candidate comes to power he will have control over the area,get bribe for doing services,can accuire more land i.e god father of tat area.
"survival of the fittest"is the motto in modern politics.then our gdp is around 8. why it so?2% bcos of the IT giants lik tcs,infy and wipro... and the rest due to small entrepreneurs in small towns ,cities (eg:dabhawallas) source:business line(i dont remember the date)but the government is not framing laws to encourage ambitious entrepreneurs.even the laws for it companies due to the fact that foriegners identified as and they are forcing the government to frame laws.. here politicians spending most of the time in setlling the disputes.. spending for welfare of the people is less than 5% lik the tax payers in india... if it continues many will write india 2040 and become a millionare from the sales as we are always lik heroes who are imaginery and do things we cant to do lik our bollywood,tollywood and kollywood cinemas(i am not teasing our honourable president as he is one of the persons who want to utilize our potential )..... to be continue

KAUTILYA OF 21 CENTURY

dear all

am posting my first blog post... though it is on politics i choose it for amma...... her tactics can be compared to kautilya.... the way she is responding to tactics of our former chief minister and his allies is simply superb..... i went to see amma election campaign in puliankulam in coimbatore on 23-4-2006.... she spoke near a vinayaka temple..... she didn't even mention te name of opposite party leaders..... she spoke of her govt achievements in the last five years . Vaiko and our supreme star sarathkumar are campaigning against our former chief minister.... The job of accusing family politics is distributed to her coalition partners.... thus getting a good image among the people..... now the opposition leaders are spending their time to handle the accusations from vaiko and our supreme star .... Her coalition partners are getting bad image from the people because of the switch over. A famous tamil proverb comes to my mind " ooru rendu patta kuthadiku kondatam"... bcos of this her popularity has increased tremendously.... i was impressed how she handled karan thappar in the hard talk interview... if she goes on .... soon we may even get a prime minister of india from tamilnadu
